The Agency laboratory is located in the administration building at 6500 West Avenue N, Palmdale, CA.  The laboratory is certified by the California Department of Public Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP #1460) for the analysis of drinking water.  We are approved to perform in the fields of testing:  microbiology, inorganic chemistry, and physical properties.

 

The AVEK laboratory offers microbiological and general physical water quality testing to the public and water purveyors.  The types of tests offered are listed in the table below.  The laboratory provides quality controlled sample bottles, sampling instructions, and a mailed written report of results.  A fee is charged for these tests.  The sample bottles may be picked up at the laboratory Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  The samples have specific holding times, must be collected in the provided containers only, and delivered to the lab during sample receiving hours, as listed below.

*Holding time is time from sample collection to delivery to lab.  All samples must arrive at the laboratory in an ice chest maintained at <10°C.
