AVEK maintains a state-of-the art Laboratory at its Headquarters in Palmdale.

The Laboratory is certified by the California Department of Public Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP #1460) for the analysis of drinking water and approved to perform testing in the fields of:  microbiology, inorganic chemistry, and physical properties.

The Laboratory offers microbiological and general physical water quality testing to the public and water purveyors.  The types of tests offered are listed in the table below.  The laboratory provides quality controlled sample bottles, sampling instructions, and a mailed written report of results.  A fee is charged for these tests.  The sample bottles may be picked up at the laboratory Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  The samples have specific holding times, must be collected in the provided containers only, and delivered to the lab during sample receiving hours, as listed above.
